Think that's bad?

Crytek say that Crysis has only SEVEN hours of SP gameplay.

Baring in mind the various ways you can approach each level - that is incredibly, incredibly short.

Well the Crysis demo wasn't very long, and that was the entire first level.

FarCry was great because it was so dang long. It is harder to have quality level design when you have a ton of levels though.

Remember Doom 2? So many levels! They don't make em like that anymore.

For those who are getting it today or later, you have to rank up in order to unlock new classes and Create-a-Class. I'm already up to Lance Corporal II. Perks are sweet!

Also, the first level is INTENSE. Activision and IW did an excellent job on this game.

EDIT - If you want it today, go to EB or Gamestop. Walmart won't have it until tomorrow! Trust me, I've been all over town for it.
I stepped out a few hours ago and picked it up from Best Buy. I'm depressed that it doesn't come with CTF, but I already know that a mod is being made so hopefully that will be put back in. The ranks are interesting, but I can already see where a new person could get schooled by a higher rank player. Some of the addons are pretty interesting. The weapon balance seems way off to me though. I was getting killed by single bursts from war away, but it would take the whole clip once your up close. This was just a little free for all with 3 people. I went online though and played with about 20 people, and it was a lot more enjoyable then cause there was always someone to shoot at. The maps themselves have so much crap on them it's a little cluttered for my taste. The one map I liked was the one on the ship where it was more open and you could actually use a sniper rifle.

I can't wait to try it on a real pc though when I get home, as I'm sure that will help with aiming and payability. It was running between 40 - 90 fps on my 6800GT at 1024 x 768, but it still felt kind of laggy. It did have times where it would drop into the 30's though, so I'm sure that huge swing in frames doesn't help either.

In this interview the level designer said "minimum 10h" and 15-20h if you decide to play it more stealthy. This matches other interviews where 12h were mentioned at a lower difficulty and without completing all "secondary missions" (and missing story details because of it).

The first time I played the demo level (I started out on delta), I needed about an hour and died 15 times and I played a mix of rambo and stealth. I also played the demo about 10 times by now as well and it still amazed me on the later "sessions" because very often new things happened, or things I didn't expect, thanks to the good enemy AI.

1600x1200 16xAA 16xAF "max" settings. it stays pinned at 91 fps 90% of the time! lowest i've seen sofar is 80 fps

AA works fine right out of the box i think you might be thinking of UE3 based games? some of them have to be tweaked to get AA working.
