Yeah, I wanted full color laser glossy paper with comb binding and all the stuff. Black&white would be a lot cheaper but I wanted the best quality.

Has anyone figured out exactly why you can't go past "Normal" is that the highest you can go? I also would like to say with everything maxed out 1280 by 1024 I run the game at 70+ FPS all the way to 135 in some areas. I am running it in Dual Video card mode, I noticed if I turned that off EVEN though I do not have SLI cards, it runs slower for some odd reason.

Yes, I can confirm that as well. I actually make sure that I turn on the optmize for SLI because for some reason it gets rid of stuttering in the game. With that turned off COD2 doesn't show a major difference in framerates, but it feels funny like it is microstuttering. I've turned it on in this game and it seems to have the same effect.

@burnt_ram: Yea, I've been having problems getting connected to servers, as well as the other people that were on the server I finally got onto. Hopefully it is just being caused by the large load of players and they can handle it better once everything settles down.

Normal is the highest setting for those few detail settings. If you goto the texture tab, you'll see that it sets the top and bottom things to automatic. The bottom one control the textures detail. Usually if you switch this to manual you'll see that everything is already set to extra. My rig with 4x AA in game and whatever AF max is in game (I think it's 8x) I'm still pulling well over 60fps at 1920 x 1200 and the game looks incredible.

no offense, but it's none too hard with a gray filter like that. It's not like a lot of detail shows through.

great game. assaulting the enemy through the streets is awesome fun. If there is one problem with the game it's that if you stay back and try to pick off the enemies before proceeding you won't get anywhere. Until you move forward to point x, the enemies just keep on coming. You have to keep moving to trigger the next event.

some screens:

This is actually in game:
