Default What's more exciting new launch of high end Graphics card or new Game Console?

Like the title states. What would be more exciting for you, would it be the launch of a new high end graphics card or a new console. I for one get more excited when the new bad ass graphics card comes out and waiting for Newegg or ZZF hit refresh non stop to check stock and click on the buy icon.

Its a nice feeling when the best of the best in cards is in your hands! Same time think about how nice of a feeling it is to own THE next gen of consoles like when the PS2 or Xbox 360, etc..came out. What are some of your opnions on this and Iam puting this under gaming because it covers both PC and console related.

I used to get excited over systems. However, all the current systems suck.

Nowadays, video cards.

Obviously it depends on what you're into. If you don't own a PC then a new graphics card isn't going to excite you too much.

I'd say a console.

You get home after getting it, with a few games install it and it's up and running no problems. A video card, well it depends. I got really excited about my 8800GTX simply because it was such a huge boost, but I don't get too excited normally, I'll still be playing the same games as before. Maybe if there is a card that handles Crysis well, then I'll get excited.

Console for me. I like value for my money

Not like I don't waste my money a lot on GFX cards though

As much as I love PC gaming and prefer it over console gaming any time, I really have to be honest on this one and say Console; it just doesn't happened as often and it's just more exiting for a variety of reasons

Console launch is a bigger deal for me. The last time I was pumped over a line of video cards was when Nvidia started the Gforce series. Though really having said that, the launch of the PS2/Xbox was much bigger for me then the launch of the PS3/Wii/360.

For me, it's video card's. Expecially with new tech (not just a boosted refresh), because then you get to look foward to all the new driver updates as the card matures. Consoles just seem to sit (collecting dust) around here.

gpu's for me - consoles are crap imo. I just HATE the idea of using something for 4-6 years using the same tech, blah.

Consoles. When a new batch of consoles is coming out it means that we're going to get a bump in graphical quality of games across the board. Gaming is a trickle down system with consoles at the top.

GPU but now I don't really get that excited because I can see this current card in my rig lasting another year easily.

Console because it happens less often and it means a new wave of games are coming, whereas with a new video card it is not like you get a whole new library of games that you wouldn't have with your old one (sure you can run them better but still the same game).
