Default Bought The Orange Box...but...

Hi all!

I was just wondering, I just bought the The Orange Box DVD of Half-Life 2 and would like to know what are you guys thought about playing the game in chronological order. I never played any of the Half-Life 2 series so what are you guys or girls suggestion ?

Would playing Half-Life 2: episode 2 first will confuse the story telling of the series ? Or by playing Episode 2 will discourage me to play Half-Life 2 ?

Or They are just the same but with better graphics ?

Anxiously waiting for your reply!

yes, it will make no sence.

you have to play HL2 first then EP1 and EP2. Its basically one long story with no ending right now.

Yeah the story is a big part of the whole Half-Life experience, you should definently play them in proper order. In order to get a grasp on the storyline of the first Half-Life you could choose to play it all through also or watch a speedrun (google half-life speedrun). Or as a final option, one thing you should do continuously as you play the games, read this half-life saga guide (http://members.shaw.ca/halflifestory/), but be careful not to read too far until you're done with the various chapters and such

I had played HL2 and EP1 before I got EP2, but I ran through HL2 and EP1 once more on easy before playing EP2 just to refresh myself with all the details. It didn't take nearly as long the second run through, but if you've never played any of them, you must take your time and enjoy it all from the start. It's worth it.

If you never played the first Half-Life, it's a must. Dated graphics but what a wicked game.

Don't forget to then play HL2. Gets the grey seal of approval.

The great thing about ep 1 is it picks right up from HL2 ending and many were a bit disappointed in that ending
