Hi folks,
I was wondering why xorg is failing to set the virtual screen to 1920x1080. Previously, I was using my 6600 GT's VGA output hooked to my Mitsubishi WS48313 RGBHV ports. Picture quality was phenomenal at 1080i. I remember, I got the component to work back in 2005 with same picture quality as the RGBHV. Anyways, last night I tried the component out again. The new lines I added to my xorg.conf are as follows: In Monitor section, I added these... Option "TVStandard" "HD1080i" Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV" Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPONENT" Modeline "1920x1080_i" 74.52 1920 1952 2016 2208 1080 1084 1096 1126 -HSync -VSync Interlace In screen section Modes "1920x1080_i" My HDTV is saying it is 1080i when I press info, however, xorg.conf is saying "failed to set virtual screen, using 1024x768." So I am just seeing my app in the center and small square which really look like a 1024x768 pixel dimension. I also tried Option "TVOutFormat" "SVIDEO" but didn't help either. Nvidia: version = 1.0.9639 Fedora Core 6 Kernel 2.6.22 What did I miss? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Neil |
