Hi all,
This problem is due to my configuration and not the new driver. I upgraded my video card from a 6000 system with worked well to my 8600gts because of a motherboard issue. New motherboard had PCIE socket. I'm running an up-to-date Freebsd6.2 on a athlon64 system. My xorg.conf and nvidia driver also needed to be rebuilt. I tried to use the previous 96.43.01 but it continued to fail not finding the gpu. Saw the stickey about 100.14.19 updated info got the 8600gts so I downloaded the new driver and thats where my story starts: I didn't remove the old driver because I didn't know how. Xorg.0.log says: Build Date: 02 December 2007 11:11:46PM Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org to make sure that you have the latest version. Ok I got this running but I'm getting an error which I don't understand. Can someone tell me what the ABI module is?
