Hello
I'm configuring a multimonitor setup with a NVS440. I'm using xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-100.14.19-3.lvn7 and kmod-nvidia-100.14.19-1.2.6.23.1_21.fc7 All four displays are working with GLX enabled The problem is that I need to disable de DPMS function in every display. Those are the lines for every monitor and device configured in xorg.conf Section "Monitor" Identifier "Monitor0" ModelName "LCD Panel 1280x1024" HorizSync 31.5 - 67.0 VertRefresh 50.0 - 75.0 Option "dpms" "off" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "Videocard0" Driver "nvidia" VendorName "Videocard Vendor" BoardName "Nvidia NVS440" Option "DPMS" "off" Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True" BusID "PCI:3:0:0" EndSection Searching the logs I've found (**) Option "dpms" "off" (**) NVIDIA(0): DPMS enabled This make me think that the X server disables DPMS but the NVIDIA driver enables it If I use xset -dpms when the monitor is blank it comes back but I have to do it every 10 minutes What I'm doing wrong? Thanks for the help |

are you using gnome or kde?
if yes, have a look at their settings - they might turn it on behind your back (btw, I just let ut2004 run for some moments.... after some seconds of ut2004 monitor never goes black again until the next reboot) |
