Most CE's come in a "steelcase" with a semi-transparent plastic cover but I believe the US has received only very limited number of those and most come in a regular plastic DVD case.

I still don't understand why all these pc games with a single dvd come in these extremely thick cases (at least in us), why not just use the regular dvd/xbox/ps size case.

so I've got all my new hardware installed on Vista x64, and I cannot get the 64-bit version of Crysis to run. it won't even make it to the EA logo. I've tried nearly everything, from running in windowed mode to making sure I have all the hotfixes(I even installed Vista SP1 for the hell of it)and the game still crashes upon starting. I also tried that single display performance mode/force on vsync fix in the nVidia control panel and still no go. I even changed my antivirus since I read somewhere that AVG doesn't play nice with Vista x64 and Crysis. I also reinstalled Crysis. still crashes upon launch.

what video drivers do you guys recommend to get the 64-bit version of Crysis working? because that's about the only thing I haven't tried(running 169.09 betas atm).

I'm fine with running the game in 32-bit mode, I just wanted to try 64-bit since I read that you get anywhere from 10-15% performance increase. that may or may not be true, but I just wanted to try.

Try turning v-sync off? Or on if it's already off.

nope, on or off, still no workie.

I'm going to try the latest beta drivers, 169.21 to see if they make a difference.

edit: that's a negative. man I'm running out of options here, anybody have any suggestions?

edit #2: the faulting module according to event viewer is ntdll.dll. I'm not sure if its because its corrupt or what, but I know it has absolutely nothing to do with the video drivers.

edit #3: I can't believe I wasted so much time trying to get 64-bit to work because 32-bit runs awesome! I'm playing @ 1920x1200 all settings on high, and its very playable(fps stays in the 30s). I could even get away with 4x AA(drops the fps to the lower 20s) lol.

Really strange stuff because Crysis works here fine in 64-bit with the .21 drivers. I remember from someone having that type of crash already with the demo (I believe it was Lee) and there was a rather simple solution to the driver settings but I don't know which it was anymore.
