I find motionblur manualy set to 1 gives a fps boost but helps smooth our graphics some. I found SOME motion blur was needed for a few redraw issues caused by something blocking the camera for a split second, and then when it was gone, the engine was caught with its pants down not rendering anything behind it the next frame. Still that means my avgs fps is 20-22 instead of 17. ^^
I'm wondering if droping it to 1280x720 and applying AA would be better. I couldn't turn off AA in CoD4, so instead I dropped the res, and strangly even on my lcd monitor, the game looked great and the performance jumped.

Dropping the res in Crysis gives a huge boost. Unfortunately my LCD doesn't scale well at all, and Nvidia's method isn't much better, so I have to stick with 1680x1050 and drop the details to high and AA off. These are times I wish I had one of the Widescreen Sony CRTs...

WoW, awsome! There looks to be more trees on the hills and in more detail.
I assume it was pretty much unplayable? I bet a load of AA and AF would make it go so slow it would go backwards ![]() |
