Gonna repost what I already wrote:
Minor Spoilers btw.... . Cons: (these are really nitpicking) Just finished the game. Too darn short. I added up the last save times of each level and it came to 9 hrs. I'd be willing to bet that the save times do not take into account reloading and replaying times after dying. Add about another 1.5hrs for about ~10.5hrs of true gameplay time. This was on Hard btw.The game really totally changes at about the 1/2 way point once you enter the Core. By about 3/4 way through I really started to miss the jungle guerrilla fighting and encampments. We never got back to my pretty tropical jungle. Hardly any gameplay was done specifically using the beautiful water which was disappointing. I longed for more fond memories like the River level in FarCry being so amazing being on the water nearly the whole time but it never happened. The later levels were much more linear than the earlier levels. Story is short but interesting. Obvious there will be Crysis2. Pros: Everything else. Quality, entertaining, impressive PC production and gameplay throughout. Highlight: There are several major memorable and OMG! WOW! Holy Sheet!! moments in this game that I won't spoil. Crysis has now become my 2nd fav game of all time (Doom will always be #1).

The best computer FPS Ive ever played! It will take me longer than 9 hours, but what the hell. Well worth the wait.
Amazing that even with my system I can only play it with X2 AA. Anything more is to slow! Cant wait for the 9800!

*SPOILER ALERT*
Highlight below for some of my thoughts on the game Just finished the game. Like the reviews are saying, the "Finish the Fight" ending leaves you wanting for more and you cant have more. That is until the next crysis game. But whatever happened to the US and koreans joining forces to fight off the aliens? What about the whole walking on the bridge and into the ice sphere part and blasting the alien hunter with a minigun like we saw in the trailers? What about the suit upgrades? And wtf happened to my incendiary ammo for the SCAR? None of those were ever in the full release. But the aircraft carrier level as the final level in the game really surprised me though. And i surely didnt expect crytek to make you fight a giant alien warship at 10 frames per second as a final boss. And im glad psycho didnt die, hes such a badass. ![]() Overall, although the ending left a huge cliffhanger for the game. It wasnt terribly bad and i actually found it quite satisfying. I wasnt disappointed with it, crytek already said crysis will be a trilogy. The minute they said that i already expected a cliffhanger to surface. Anyway, time for some multiplayer action...

Now that I think about it, I think the alien part of the game ruined the SP. Multiplayer is fun, at least Instant Action is. Using the nanosuit in deathmatch is pretty darn cool.

No trigens no aliens just mercenaries...arh Anyway, I haven't bought the game yet...so this is not an informed opinion. |

I didnt mind the aliens in the game because they managed to make the whole story interesting by putting aliens in the act. As for far cry the whole trigens thing was unclear until later parts of the game, which some people may not find very good. I didnt care much about the story in far cry though, it was so weak that i couldnt even be bothered.
