I was going to hold out too... but it really isn't worth waiting. It's fun even at mediocre framerates and medium shaders!

Ok, just finished the harbor, tank mission and blew up the ammo depot. Mmm...mmm...so good. I need a smoke

Well, I don't smoke but if I did I would have a smoke now.

Maybe people aren't using the right tweaks. This game is AMAZING. I guess I must really suck because on hard I find it very challenging. The firefights in the docks and at the bases were awesome. The tank fight was jaw-dropping.

You don't feel like you're in some narrow tunnel like almost every other game.

My frame rate sucks...it feels smooth at 20fps but not so when it dips to the mid teens. But the choppiness is worth it because it's just so gorgeous!

I can't wait for the 9800GTX. Whatever the price, I'm buying it on launch day just to replay this game.

Anyway, I haven't seen any aliens yet. So, I still have a ways to go.

(P.S. This is not as short as COD4)

Just beat the game. Loved it from start to finish. The best SP experience I've had since Half-Life 2.

Just beat it in my third and final session (4h + 6h + 8h) as well and I have to say it was one of my best SP experience, easily better than HL2. I played on Delta and the last few levels were just breathtaking, pure adrenaline rush and even the ending fit nicely and I'm really looking forward to Crysis 2. GOTY!

I played the whole game at 1080p with Gaco's 1.1 config and performance was good vs. image quality, always enjoyable and never unplayable! The last level (after the indoor cutszene) was a little slower but a restart helped a lot to ease up the pagefile. I haven't noticed any bugs in the whole game and none on the carrier level.

I'm not often happy with my game purchases but this one was worth every damn cent! Great job Crytek!

FastRedPonyCar,that was an excellent review.

Sums up my feeling well.I would only add that the pistols are near useless and that they dont give you enough ammo for the SCAR,after mission one.

IE:None.

I constantly found myself wishing that I could ditch the pistols and grab another gun in thier place.Tanks did not seem to take much damage, unless of course they were being driven by the enemy, then they take all sorts of extra damage, and seemingly NEVER ran out of shells and rockets to lob your way. That bugged the **** out of me.

The Helo's ability to track you no matter what, wasnt so much a bother to me... But the enemy tanks unlimited ammo did/does I wanted to kill the Admiral on the aircraft carrier before, during and after the 'launch' What a ****ing idiot he was !

The result of his decision was FAR too easy to predict.Oh,and 'protecting Prophet' was somewhat annoying.

I'd give Crysis a 9 out of 10. I gave Bioshock a 9.8 put of 10 in comparison.

On medium with NO cheating, about 12.5 hours, more like 20+,but I subtracted all the graphical gawking I did. As someone else said and I agree, for me,its was certainly better then HL2.

It was good but not the best game this year. Uncharted so is that game for me but Crysis was good, very fun just glad i didn't buy into the hype of the quad core and all that.
