I know what you're all talking about. Still playing Crysis, Assassin's Creed, The Witcher, Strangle Hold, and soon Drake, Time Crisis 4, and the Zelda Crossbow thing. This month is insane. But I'd still want the games to be 12+ hours long especially on the PS3 side where games run $60. I know I'll be holding off on CoD4 and UT on the PC because I just won't have time for them for a while. Unfortunately for CoD4 and UT, I know I won't buy them till they drop in price since I didn't buy them the week they are released.

Personally I really don't mind. I hate games that milk what little they have so much. I'd rather it be a memorable 7-8 hours.

And not surprising, since I finished Crysis, Uncharted isn't so great looking any more.

Yeah I personally don't like it when people dis short games.

Look at the Metal Gear Solid series... they're each like 15 hours max playthrough, yet they feel so complete and polished. Plot and all.

Besides, a 15 hour game normally takes me a week to finish anyway. I don't sit and play possessed for 10 hours at a time like I used to..

I would have thought 15 hours was considered a good length for a game. Its the ones that last more like 6-8 hours that irk people (e.g. Heavenly Sword and COD4).

I think games tend to feel shorter if they're very good. I mean that people always want more and are disappointed when a game is over. For example Heavenly Sword felt very short, but I enjoyed the game immensely while it lasted. While CoD4 was shorter than HS, I didn't "feel" it was that shorter in any way because at some point I was actually a little tired by CoD4 and wanted it to end. I also consider 10-12 hours very good for an action game, and 20+ hours for an RTS/RPG, as long as they're good games...

COD4 was made with multiplayer in mind though to be fair.

If you consider the vast amounts of game types,the awesome ranking system and Arcade Mode, the game is actually alot bigger than people realise.

Good move, you won't regret it. I am only a little ways into it but from what I have played so far this game is very impresive. Great graphics, lighting, gameplay, and story. It is not very original and I think that is why the reviews are not as high as they should be. Reminds me a little bit of prince of persia, GOW and Tomb Raider, but put together very nicely. The best game I have played all year. By the way I have both a PS3 and a 360 so I am not a fan boy.

I've put about 3 hours into this game and I have to admit that it's fun. The graphics are amazing at times but there are a few places where things like the shadow effects are super low quality (cut scenes in submarine). The game is very linear (limited exploration) and the combat while fun is very repetitive. There are a few puzzle elements but they're few a far in between. The jump sequences break up the combat but I'm left wanting more. I know I've listed a few negatives but the game as a whole is good. Sure it's not what I ultimately wanted (think Tomb Raider Legend on steriods) but so far it's a fun and graphically stunning addition to the PS3 library.

Verdict: Good (not great). Rent it!
