The jump sequences break up the combat but I'm left wanting more. I know I've listed a few negatives but the game as a whole is good. Sure it's not what I ultimately wanted (think Tomb Raider Legend on steriods) but so far it's a fun and graphically stunning addition to the PS3 library.

Verdict: Good (not great). Rent it!
Hmmm...What about the vehicle sequences? Also according to the reviews I've read there is a serious change in gameplay toward the end of the game. A change for the better according to IGN.

I've experiences two vechicle sequences so far. One was with your sidekick driving a jeep and you on a mounted gun and the second was on a jetski. Both sequences are brief and somewhat forgettable. The meat of this game is the combat. Unfortuantely you run into the same 3 or 4 enemy character types over and over again. Like I said, I'm only about 3 hours into the game (about 48%) so hopefully the game will get better towards the end. All in all not a bad game (quite good actually) but I wish there was more.

It's better for game to be as long as it was meant to be. Sometime or even often artificial prolonging games make them so boring. Take for example Max Payne. The game is very shord but it feels like a movie and you would like a movie that lasts 5-5 hours unless there a lot going on. Red Rose by Stephen King is such a movie. Long and damn interesting from the beginning to its end. If Drake keeps you entertained for whole time it's all that matter. I see this game as interactive moive in possitive way or mixture of movie and game where story is the most important and great gameplay is just something so obvious there it has to have it.

Gametrailers review is up. 8.9. Unlike the majority of other sites, they found the game to have no replay value (which I personally disagree with).

I don't mind short games at all, what I mind is paying long $$$$ for them. 5-7hr games are only worth $25US max to me.

I'll most likely rent Uncharted since is so darn short.

You don't 'play' the movie though. You just sit and watch.

So? Both are enterainment.

Let me put it this way, games use to have 15+hrs of gameplay, now they contain much less for same price. I don't like that.

I'm through buying short games for $60. I'll just wait for them to get to a more proper price range or rent them.

Does renting hurt game companies? Sure doesn't help them much I'd think.

Perhaps they contain much less hours of gameplay, but in general, compared to prior generations, games have to have much more work put into the art and music. Generally short games have diverse levels, not the same textures repeating every other level but in a different color. The amount of work/time/money needed to make a AAA game nowadays is much greater than before.

I honestly dont care for a games lenght... if its fun and keeps me entertain all the way through then it was worth the money. Thats why I liked Heavenly Sword, it was short but dam good the entire way through.

Heck, I love long RPGs but I rarely have the time to complete any, I still haven't compeleted Final Fantasy XII and im a ***** for the Final Fantasy games...
