I'm only at the gravity shutdown part in the alien craft but so far I like CoD4 much more. The graphics of Crysis definitely live up to the hype but the game itself is just OK.

Chill i aint bitching just simply stating facts...sorry to put a dampener on your beloved game.......

I didnt upgrade to Vista and get a DX10 card to play Crysis in ****ing DX9....get a grip plz.

At the end of the day Crysis is not the game they said it would be at this moment in time...why cry at me for stating that. If your happy with Crysis good for you, your easily pleased....me on the other hand am not.

I'm getting my copy later today...maybe i am wrong and that somehow the retail has improvements from the demo....if not then im right.

*Edit* Seems i am wrong...the retail certainly plays a lot better for me than the demo with the same settings.

Finished it, I actually thought it went downhill from the first mission, a few sections were fairly good but nothing captured that first level or two. I don't mind linear type sections, in far cry they were fine, but there weren't enough open levels like far cry had.

So did you think the linear sections were bad or would you rather just had more open ones?

I don't think they were bad, but I have other games for that, I'd rather replay the first level 10 times over

Hmm, but the others levels up to the core offer different approaches as well. Is it just the layout you don't like?

From what I can tell is the enjoyment level of this game is directly related to the Graphics settings you run.

Not really sure why that is, but it really effects how you view the game.

When you get to the point where you run the game at MAXIMUM Settings. hehe. The game is amazing, I found myself in some parts almost unable to distinguish from real life (looks - not crazy I'm going to shoot people) With lower graphics settings, and lower resolutions I played the same couple of areas and the game Did NOT feel the same at all. lost a lot of it soul!

I do run SLI GTX's, and at times still feel that it is to slow, But I just can’t wait for the day I can run this game at my 1920X1200 @ 8XAA w/Super Sample / 16AF at 45FPS Minimum 80 Average.

I average 36 now with my SLI GTX's at all ultra like settings, w/ 28FPS minimum.

I suppose SLI 9800GTX's may get me close, but I thinking more then likely SLI 10800GTX's, will get me there.
