nfs isn't like gran turismo at all. it was all about driving those exotic cars like viper, ferrari, etc. in like alike urban roads. also the handling was great, and cops' there too. it was mixed of sim/arcade and i remember playing this with my friends one on one... so much fun.

Either way, this game is shoddy craftsmanship all around, the camera is jerky (i thought the game was stuttering at first, but its just a jerky camera), the graphics are uninspiring, the physics are clunky, the cars handle like your driving a pontoon boat (my 1992 buick regal does a better job), and the commentator thing gets old real fast. |

I would be pissed of if I pirated it just over the time wasted waiting for it to install. Uninstalled the demo within 15 min of playing... Total Junk and ran like crap on a 8800 gtx 660/1550/2068 core 2 @3.6. Ea should just stop making racing games at this point or give racing back to EA canada if they still have some of the same dev staff.

One thing alone kills all the latest NFS games for me. Even if they were excellent otherwise I could never stand to play any game with the little kiddie, gangsta, wigga, wannabe tough guy garbage talk that just NEVER seems to stop in these games. I just can not stand to play a game that treats me like I am a 12 year old with an inferiority complex when I am a grown man...without one.

First NFS game I will not be picking up =(. I don't really enjoy many racing games and look forward to the NFS games coming out just about once a year, but looks like I'll find something else this release cycle

The new gamestore opened up in my town here, and someone made a mistake. They put 2 or 3 copies of Pro Street out before release date (it's due out 22nd, i picked it up on the 19th, Today). I got it for the hell of it, demo sucked but i thought what the hell. I can't stop playing it. It's fun... It's pretty... Yes, the steering isn't the best thing in the world, but i'm having the most fun i've had since playing Hot Pursuit 2.
Drag racing is sweet as, you actually have full control of the car AND you have to do burnouts before the race to warm up your tires. Drift is alot more realistic, and in some cases a ton easier. Grip (Time Attack, Checkpoint, Group racing and Standard racing) is fun. Now the steering isn't all the best, but that can be countered by taking your car to the windtunnel and tuning it for less resistance and more downforce. After that, kit it out with more handling gear (steering, suspension, brakes) and the cars certainly handle a ton better. Overall i'd give the game about an 8.5, but it's far far better than the demo. |

Actually the game is not that bad, and I found that this game looks great on my 8800gtx also, It give me a "realism" feel, I must admit that the handle is not that good, even my car running at 32km it still like refuse to turn, but the good thing is, it seems EA finally hear some fans opinion, the AI wouldn't cheat, yes, I saw they crash into the wall and crashed each other, and the AI don't have the catch up benefit again, most important things is, NOS finally has it's limit!! so you can't spawn it like a crazy nuts.
After all, I found myself have a good time playing this game, the only thing I really hate is that EA not decided to put back the replay system......AGAIN! |
