I got ProStreet for my Birthday, got two words for it, it's terrible.

I've played all the Need for Speed games and loved most of them. I like arcade style racers and they always did that well. Each one had different things I liked but ProStreet doesn't work for me at all. I tried the demo and ask for it anyway so it's my own fault, but I did think it would get better. If you like sim style racers I guess you'll like ProStreet. But hey I like running head on into telephone poles and going on

Is the in-game advertising as blatant as reviews say?

Funnily enough, yah. Only things you see here and there are for a few things that sell in Australia, like energizer batteries. We have something called the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) which controls all of the advertising and stuff like that.

Yep. Streaming Ads are a big no no here. BF2142 had to be modified to be sold on the shelves here. Chaos Theory had it's streaming ads removed leaving stock ones for a few Aussie products.

Actually BF2142 didn't really have to be modified, all they did was get your IP address and map it to a series of ads, Australian IPs were not mapped so we got the default placeholders to start with. You could even replace them with whatever you wanted, I ran some hot chick billboards for a long time.

Then when northern strike was coming, they put up cool ads for that, which I thought was a neat idea.

What about in game ads that advertise the current game? Those ads drive me more mad than all the rest. They add nada- you already own the game, you aren't going to buy it again, they simply waste space and ruin the experience. At least you know other ads HELP the producer in some way earn money, which should hypothetically help game prices or at least help them break even. But in game ads for the game you're playing? Argh

The more I play this game ,the more you can tell it could'nt have took but about a month to make ,all the other NFS had more then two tracks ,I have played this game to the end ,I found the driveing just fine with my MOMO but hell I should be good at it by now since at the most they may have three different tracks ,I hate how they have the tune up setup ,when I first got this game I would have give it a 8 but after playing it all the way though ,I would have to down grade it to a 3 , just for good driveing and the game has no studder or pauses. ,but on the same tracks over and over and over ,I should be able to race them blind folded. It a shame to i found the handleing excelent ,but they could have spent on little more time on it by makeing new tracks.
