Because of the fact that sofar dx10 has not made good impression performance wise,since this is 99% online and low fps gets you killed i think you are better off without it.Afaik it just added AA in gow anyway.

So the only way to have AA in this is nHancer?

What is the best AA setting in nhancer for best performance? I've tried nHancer before but the performance seemed to suck.

aa kills performance in this game. its a 60 to 80% performance drop with g80 hardware.

Delete your UTGame.ini file from My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 and force the game to create a new file after applying the patch, then the slider should work.

Just installed the game runs really smooth but man and I just bumbed out I don't even know what to say, its so dark. I thought I would never say this about epic but they consoled the living s**t out of this game.

The beta patch doesn't allow higher than 100 ... which is a shame for anything above 16:10 ... so ... 16:9 users and TripleHead users are out of luck ...

(Based on that default of 90 even the 100 isn't quite enough for 16:10)

Agreed,it runs really smooth but some places the textures look like complete crap.Its just a shame ,i bought the limited edition version and in the behind the scenes movie EVERY damn thing is taken from PS3 developement,modelling,texturing,playtesting.It suffers from a severe case of consoleitis.The pc versions seems like more of an afterthought and even after the first patch its buggy as hell,like you cant run a dedicated insta-server and having it show up in the browser etc etc.But overall the game feels nice to play,much like the original game but what the hell were you thinking Epic when you gave us the ultra low-res PS3 textures,they really should have put some more effort into the PC version.I dont think they should have gone the crysis route and made it so detailed that you averaged 25 fps but come on ,this looks more like the -99 edition than 2007 at some places

Learn to deal with it, one of the last decent pc developers sold out like the rest.

I like how fast that ut3 patch drops, yet, still not even an acknowledgment of the bugs in gears, let alone a patch.

I went from loving epic to starting a consumer class action against them for gears. Go figure.

Thats a bit drastic and ott for me but they could have done the same for this game as they did for Gow pc,add some higher res textures.Gow still runs smooth and compare the bumpmapped bricks covered in running water from the gow factory level to any bricked surface in UT3 and the difference is huge.The browser still sucks,there's no options for mutator filtering and if i choose instagib my dedicated server wont show up in the broswer (it will with normal weapons) It just reeks of unfinished buggyness,the dedicated linux server is also needed,as it is we cant start playing it in the clan im in unless we rent a winserver (wich we wont).
