I'm starting to think that this might be a X-RAM problem. There is also a thread about this in the official forum.
I'm getting the random crashes too, I have disabled OpenAL and it seems to work so far. Beta patch did not help. Creative or Epic's fault?

Same here, and I find it funny that the latest creative driver release for X-Fi stated it solved problems with openal games crashing. UT came out after the driver but its obvious someone dropped the ball somewhere.

Atleast I can play but I'm sure I'm not the only one that uses surround sound as a way of being aware of whats going on around me..

Lets just hope the public patch resolves this issue.

Great game though, I am loving it!

I agree, every .ini tweak I've seen waters down already watered down gfx. Thanks for the post, I'm gonna give this a shot.

Where are you getting Default at 90?

In the INI its 80, if you don't touch anything.

After the patch it sets the slider and the FOV to 90.

That's really weird. I'm going to play around with it some more today and see if I can figure out what's causing my slowdowns.

The usage of dualcores dosent have always to bring more performance. sometimes its used to shorten loading times , help decreasing any stuttering/hitching might be encountered during gameplay .. etc

Can anyone provide feedback on the new Warfare mode? I'm thinking about picking this one up but can't justify $50 for standard DM and CTF with a facelift. Seems like there are some interesting ideas on how to break stalemates but do they work? Also, a common problem with Onslaught was that once the enemy team was knocking on your door, losing was inevitable; there was just no way to push them back because of all the extra vehicles/weapons they had. Does that special orb that each team gets fix this problem?
