It feels nothing like 2k4 to play,movement,weaponbalance/shot-timing is not like 2k4 at all imo.If anything (and i dunno if its better or worse than your example ) it feels like Unreal Tournament with a graphics upgrade, the movement is more related to the original game than to 2k4 as the gravity is much higher here. The instarifle is a LOT like the one in UT and the normal weapons are also closer to the original.Theyve even copied the ****ty browser as niether has mutator filtering but the old one does have favourites

The ****ty browser is by far a bigger problem for me than any lowres texture in the game, the 2k4 browser was close to perfect but this one is sad beyond words, cant really figure out how they were thinking there.Surely they must have realized that every seasoned loyal ut player would feel ripped off ? I love the gameplay,i always liked UT more than any of the sequels so for me its perfect,if they fix the browser, crosshairs and enable webadmin + release linux server software i will be a happy bunny

They were thinking " this is a console game first, we'll just throw a slew of patches at those pc gamers in the following months to eventually give them the product that should have came out of box on day 1"

Game launches for me, but if I minimize 90% of the time my nvidia driver quits responding, and I end up getting a BSOD.

I got to play it though, and the game just freezes after a bit. I doubt its my O/C since Crysis, and 3dmark06 run perfectly fine. I also did run Orthos for 8+ hours stable with no errors what so ever.

It could be the graphics card O/C but again I play Crysis, and every other game for hours on end without issue. I'd say this game is just buggy, and unoptimized. If thats the case, then Epic has let me down, and not only have they let me down, but they've stopped me from buying any more of their games. Once again a over hyped game that runs ****ty much like Crysis. FPS wise this game is awesome, BUT the simple fact is the freezing makes it very pathetic in the sense no one wants a hard lock while playing.

OpenAL worked fine for me in the demo...

They'd better fix this fast.

I think STALKER took the cake for shipping with broken OpenAL... heck don't they check these things before they decide it's gold :/
