I confirm the OpenAL problem. With OpenAL hardware disabled I played for hours yesterday with no problems at all. And I don't think it's Creative's fault, but Epic's. All other OpenAL games work great so far. BTW I'm running the game in Vista 64.

WOW... Alot of hate for this game.

I for one love that it is UT - upgraded.

I hated UT2004 (only one I didn't own), they tried to add to much to the UT series, to the point I felt like it wasen't UT anymore. Make a different game if you want to change everything up.

The gravity in UT3 is great. We don't have a bunch of bunny hopping, floating people playing anymore.

I know 4 of my friends that stoped playing UT because of the 2004 version. We were diehard Unreal, UT, and UT2003 fans back in highs school.

So anyone who doesn't like UT3, can wait untill they crap up the next UT, and you can get that one.

Hehe agreed,i love the gameplay, the old UT feel, the core gameplay is great. But the browser and xhairs etc needs fixing,i dont really care so much about the texture detail.

Yanno this is bugging me, usually when you would get any UT series you would go to the INI for optimization to make the game run smoother. The game runs really smooth @ 1680x1050 4AA 16AF no problem 60FPS solid. I find myself looking in ways to make the game look better, which I think is odd. I really hope they add better textures which I am not really holding my breath on, every time I look for tweaks all I find is how to disable stuff and dumbing it down. I looked at a lot of places only to realize the folks on this forum have some of the best rigs then other forums, I knew there was a reason I loved this place, if anyone comes up with some tweaks that improve the look of the game please post.

Has anyone tried the tweak from the demo? Renaming the .exe to Bioshock? Made the game look and play so much better.
