Theres an option in the UTengine.ini that has DX10 enables by default though there is no DX10 effects being used at this point (supposedly) and if you set that off to false, you will get a considerable boost in performance according to Tweakguides. Haven't tried it but I plan to if I feel the need. DX10 will come at some point but right now I'd rather see a fix for OpenAL issue that people are facing.

Man, game is beautiful. I mean freakin gorgeous and bright. Details of far away areas are a plus in this game.

genius, there is no extra grass in the retail over the demo. dont know how much simpler i can make it so u can grasp this complex concept

he just said that theres grass that sways in the wind now all the beta demo had was a flat ground with a texture on it that's a difference isn't it.

not on suspense, which is what u asked. tell him to post a pic of the swaying grass on suspense that isnt in the demo

I think I misread his post. There is no grass in suspense but there is on other maps. Sorry for the confusion.

Ah i see well if it's only suspense that's like that I don't mind that much, I've already played that map to death lol, But does torlan have grass or no?

The new vehicles are crazy! I love the flying tentacle thing. It's reminds me of those robots things from the Matrix. Wicked! And the spider ball thing is weird, like a walking bowling ball. Looks cool as hell. Actually I think everything in this game looks cool as hell. And it runs super fast! A great game to cap off one of the best years in PC gaming.

Man, I actually pity those poor bastards stuck playing Halo on the xbox. I really do.
