I expected the worst and it actually came out pretty good. The 3 lenses on the CRT were covered in dust. I took a microfiber cloth(dry) and a can of air for the job. While blowing the can of air, I ever so gently pushed the dust away(putting as little pressure on the CRT as humanly possible). The result has made my TV much much brighter than before.

You should have taken some pics for us. I know there's not much to it, but it still would have made a nice before and after montage.

![]() I did not get 100% of the dust. There is still a few bits scattered around the lens. However, I read that you shouldn't use any liquid of any type and to be extremely careful when taking off the dust for risk of scratching. I'd rather have a few bits of dust left than screw up the lens. |
