Default Tri-head Sun Ultra 20 with NVS280 and onboard ATI

Performance problems seem common on the Sun Ultra 20 when trying to run dual or tri-head displays. Truthfully, I would be fine if the only dual head created by the NVS card gave good performance.

When I start x, the monitor connected to the ati card is black (although the lcd indicator is green). I cannot navigate to this screen.

More importantly, X is using an insane amount of CPU. Running GnomeFallingBlocks (tetris clone) results in about 95% cpu usage for X!!! Any ideas?

I must appologize. The non-working ati screen was a silly and obvious mistake. Unfortunately, the 100% CPU utilization still stands.
