Default [169.04] 7200 GS slower than onboard

- Compiz is very choppy on my 7200 GS (much slower than onboard nvidia) to the point of being unusable.
- Both the 9639 and 100.14.19 drivers performed similarly poorly
- Compiz settings for "loose binding" and "indirect rendering" do not help

CPU: AMD 64 X2
Driver Version: 169.04
Distribution: Gutsy Gibbon (fresh install)
Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux
glxgears: 401 frames in 5.0 seconds = 80.074 FPS

Bug report and "nvidia-settings --glxinfo" output attached.
Possibly related to: 8400M GS : Low performances thread.
