I was given a Leadtek 6600GT Extreme PCIe by my brother that suffered a bad flash.
Now what happens is the writting in DOS is unreadable but in WINDOWS everything is fine. Question is can it be saved? If so HOW? Please help. |

Yes you can save your card from bad BIOS flash, the only way to do that is to get a PCI videocard to boot from and flash Leadtek 6600GT Extreme BIOS to PCIe. This worked in all reported bad Video BIOS flash cases.

http://www.mvktech.net/content/view/15/37/ I noticed that NVFlash can do blind flash that you could do that first thing, if blind flash not work then get a PCI videocard to do it.

OK heres a update.
I spent hours(where does the time go?) trying to re-flash. The card seems to take the new flash, but when i restart it all looks the same. So i am guessing he has damaged the card in some other way with overclocking or something. Just to re-cap. In DOS text is unreadable but is fine in WINDOWS. I am now at a loss as to what to do now. AARRGGG!!! |

Are you flashing it with the original bios,or have you modified the bios you flashed at all? My best results always came with modifying the original bios then flashing, not using someone elses bios.
