Not sure if this is the correct forum for this, but here it goes:
My brother in law has a HUGE collection of sports games (boxing mostly) recored to VHS. He wants to now put them on DVD for space saving and to avoid degridation and having to buy a new VCR. As I understand it there are 2 ways to do this. One would be to buy a program to assist with this and plug the VCR into the computer and rip them to DVDS. I dont think this is a good idea for them as they are not very computer literate and their machine is a little on the weak side. The other option would be to try a store that specializes in this. The problem here is copyright issues. I dont want them to get into trouble or anything. So the last option would be a specialized machine that includes 1 button ripping of the VHS to the DVD. Does ANYONE have any opinions or options on this? Seriuosly, a link to a specialized machine would make their (and my) life MUCH easier. Thx

Here is a article on just that http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-11259_7-5705957-1.html
Of course that is only one option among many, but it was the first hit off google with the terms "vhs to dvd hardware" |

Okay, thats a good start and thx.
However I am hoping for a more "all in 1" machine. VCR and DVD go in, push a button, and transfered DVD comes out 2 hours later. None the less I will link this to my sister and see what she thinks. thx
