Default Sony HT-SS2000

I bought this over the weekend. Ran the autocalibration but still the sound does not appear as loud as I expected. I had a Philips 3400/37 and it would go boom when I turn the volume above 15. With the Sony I am at 20 and still hearing whispers!!!!

Anybody own this model, can tell me what manual adjustments you had to ake to get the perfect sound from it.
