I have an EVGA NVIDIA 7800GT with Component out. I am trying to set this up to work with a 65 Inch CRT Rear Projection HDTV 1080i. I am also running Slackware 12.0
1. Ran xorgsetup - and started X. This gave me a 1024x768? BLUE (could see desktop, but only color was blue) 2. I changed the config file to add a mode line, 1920x1080 mode, and a HD1080i TVStandard. This booted no errors in the Xorg.log.0, but the TV just showed a BLUE (nothing) screen. I've attached the xorg.conf file, the commented out lines are the ones I added in step 2, and it works in blue only with them commented out. I unplugged the red component cable, then the green one, which made no difference on the picture, but unplugging the blue component cable did make it black and white. (leaving the other two in). Is it thinking that this is composite? Also, the component cables are the Y/Pb/Pr, which the TV supports, and the video card outputs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Next to the TVStandard you still need to select the TVOutFormat (Component).
