Default 100.14.19 amd64 fails to load module on 2.6.23.9

After installation, X doesnt start and X org log complains that it couldn't load kernel module;

Indeed, modprobe nvidia fails.

Any idea what might be wrong?

Read installation instructions. You didn't even change your xorg.conf.

What message does it give you when loading nvidia module?

Tier, I did changed xorg.conf to use Driver "nvidia" instead "nv", Ionly changed it back after it wasn't working, so that I could write this post in any graphics mode

The message was just that failed to load module, and error in module init function... No more informations;

I will give exact copy/paste when I can again test...

Should I also look in some other places? dmesg didn't say anything, nor xorg log, nor strace
