Street Fighter 4 pic - Page 4

raliin, the back grounds are like a spitting image of SF2, you almost have to do a double take to see that its 3d. The character designs do seem abit bulky, but then the fighters they have up there are big guys (I also think ken/ryu got bigger when they went to sf3). Also their faces are pretty true to that of sf2. Maybe youve playd to much alpha and forgot what they looked like oldschool (Can't blame you, Alpha3 and MvsC2 were the best street fighter got)?

SF3 definetly put on a more stylized look that I found very unique, even in all the anime i have watched, SF3's look is unique.

Anyways..Ive been dreaming of a 3d style SF2 using an old school 2d plain for so long. It was easy to see in tekken/doa/soul calibure series that 3d is needed for realistic movements, and model detail shouldn't be a problem, but it was clear with the Street fighter 3d games that the gameplay just wasnt possible in 3d.

If you had to do a double take to see those were 3d... you must be blind or sitting 5 miles away from a handheld black and white screen from 1920.

ken's face looks retarded, but everything else looks fine. I'll wait for gameplay vids....

I'm really not fussed with the backgrounds. SF3 had a more of a bulky look but it looked nothing like this. They've just gone completely over the top especially with their faces. Ryu actually looks like a completely different person now... and semi retarded.

I'm not judging the entire game, only the style. It doesn't impress me at all.
