I played MC2, but didn't like it. I just generally don't like RTS.

BTW we may be getting a MMO based on BattleTech.

This is from Smith & Tinker's website, looks like they're going to make a MMO, the question is whether it's BattleTech or Shadowrun:

There is no one on the planet more creative than the audience
There are no limits on entertainment: itís now 360 degrees, 24/7

It will be the first time for me to get into MMO's if Battletech ever went into that direction.

I never played MW1 so I cannot comment. I just like the intense action sequence that MW2 was littered with. I remember I'd always be a Nova going up against a ton of WarHawks. Just dodge between them and they'd actually shoot each other with their PPCs. You could get them to kill themselves off that way. Then it's you vs one WarHawk, and by strafing and dodging you could take 'em down quite easy. Ahh, those were the days.

A remake of MW1 would need all new mechs, or at least ones that are not based on the Japanese designs like the Battlemaster, Rifleman, or Wasp. FASA did a revision on all those mechs so it's possible. They'd just look different.

MW2Mercs was awesome! "DC Catapult on the rise..."

Shadowrun MMO with be great too. Decker anyone?

My guess is that while Microsoft understands the franchise has potential, but after that last failed game they didn't wanna take any risks with it.

And maybe instead of holding onto the license, they might have opted to work with them and f.e. make it 360/Windows only, allowing S&T to acquire the license back cheaply.
