Thank you, I like your second config without the HDR values and with medium shadows.

POM works, textures and shadows look much better, DX10 water and sunshafts are there. It all good except that I noticed a thin "white" edge around objects but once I enabled EdgeAA (r_useEdgeAA 1) it was gone. I can see that some objects (rocks, grass, barrels) do fade-in earlier but I guess thats where some of the FPS gains come from.

Performance seems about equal as all ingame settings on "high" but with basically all DX10 "eye candy" at the cost of worse LOD.

Hey I like this, but what cvar to I add or delete to the cgf, to make the trees blow in the wind again?

The CVAR that changes this is...

e_vegetation_bending = 1

I love this config but the shadows aren't dark at all.
What would be the command line to add to make the shadows dark?

Doesn't look like there are any shadows at all to me.

Are they disabled?

idk........ I'm a little confused. Basically I want this config with the dark shadows from that ultra high tweak and edge AA and I'll be all set. I know the command for edge AA but not the dark shadows.

EDIT - Try setting your shadow quality to medium, and changing the r_SSAO line in the config to "1"

I have updated my config, and I have placed the revisions on the first post of this thread. The revisions include higher FPS in areas with a lot of foliage, less pop up then my last config, and a Low Spec - Med - High Config.

Make sure you have followed the install instructions to the letter, and also my personal recommendation is to place my configs into a system.cfg file to make sure everything is processed correctly.

Your config looks pretty nice, I can't seem to get it working though for some reason.

Followed instructions to the letter.

Using original CVAR groups, load up Crysis, set everything to low and shadows
to medium, exit, put your system.cfg config file in my Crysis main root dir, load up game... and.. everything's still on low

Weird

I uploaded the Med - High range config to my site. Try downloading it ( Right click , save as. ) and placing it in your main Crysis directory.

your system.cfg got it working.. great work ! my average fps went wayy up
i was even able to play at 1680x1050 with 2xaa and it was smooth as it was
before the tweaks.. 30fps+

update: been playing for the last couple hours.. it's just unbelievable now gameplay is SOOO smooth, playing
at 1280x1024 with 2xaa and it never dips below 30, it's just awesome. averaging about 40+!

I wonder tho; why wouldn't Crytek release it like this in the first place? It looks better, and runs better than default retail..

Thanks for the kind words! Glad its been working well for you!

I have made additional revisions to both configs in the OP.

Low Spec now has a few more eye candy effects at no performance cost. Med - High Range now has very high motion blur, and a few other slight performance tweaks. Enjoy!

I'm gonna try this when I get home. I've been looking for an excuse to play Crysis before the patches come out.
