Quote of the Day.

But seriously though, this is stupid. Does that mean I can now sue random game company for not having a feature that they said they will have in previous interview? lol

Seriously though, I should sue like TSN-HD and most other HD channels for false advertising. It's called "HD", but a lot of times it's just an SD feed. I want my money back!

Sorry, this is not going to go anywhere.

PGR3 was not native 720 and was only upscaled.

And also, lower resolution than 1280x720 is considered "HD" and the whole market today offers "720p" LCD TVs that are 768p, etc.

Shouldn't we also be suing a lot of TV manufacturers for offering Plasma's that are "HD" but have resolutions like 1024x768 (16:9 ratio adjusted). ?

Yeah. I remember here PrimeHD was broadcast in 576i for a good part of the year, now they switch from 576p to 1080i depending on the programme.

Silly lawsuit, which should never be possible without proper penalty for stupidity.
Tough it would be fun to see full resolution information in game cases.
Quote:
Game's rendered in 1024x768 backbuffer with intended aspect ratio of 16:9 or 16:10 depending on users choice.
Smoke effects rendered in half resolution in each dimension bringing the actual resolution of particle buffer to 512x384.
Shadow buffers for point lights, for each light 6x256x256 and main directional light 4x1024x1024.

Later in the future with some game using 'slightly' different rendering method.
Irregular rendering of backbuffer, amount of samples.
Min 532480, (average with regular rendering 1024x520)
Average 1843200, (average with regular rendering 1280x720 x2)
Max 7372800, (average with regular rendering 1280x720 x8)

Min samples for a pixel 1/4, max 32.

Rendered image is scaled for any output resolution, upscaling using bicubic magnification filter and minification using bilinear mip-map chain.

Where the hell do they get "advertised as 720p"...? I never heard any ads say that, read any ads, etc.

The back of the box says "supported"... dummies.

This lawsuit probably won't even see the light of day, and if it does, it will be shortlived. Suing over missing pixels??? Get a life you dumb ****s.
