Can't read drivers
Okay, first of all I'm going to guess that you all get this question alot. Second, I hope i'm not being a burden.
Anyway, I installed ubuntu on my machine. I own an nvidia geforce 7600. I went to the main Nvidia and PNY site to download the drivers, and I did. However, when I try to install them in the console or from my hardrive, it simply states that it "Cannot read this file". Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Can't read drivers
It is _not_ recommended to install the drivers manually
in Ubuntu. Install them by using the package management provided by ubuntu or the restricted driver manager.
(which uses the package management as well)
If you really want to install the driver by hand
(you probably don't want to) and you do know
exactly what you are doing (you probably don't):
Read the README provided, set the file as
executable (chmod +x) if nececary, quit
your X session and run it according to the readme.
However: this _will_ lead to problems with
modules provided by ubuntu.
