There's still a bubblewrap satisfaction to the early tomb raider games, that latter ones are still yet to really grasp. Maybe, maybe this outing will be something like a return to late 90s form when Lara Croft was alongside Mario, Sonic and PacMan as the biggest names of all time.

(I'd love it if they did a game where she had to come back from a drug habit and get healthy again).

The Tomb Raider franchise is getting stale. I cannot bring myself to finish these games anymore and quit after a few levels. They really need to change things around. Maybe make her boobs bigger....

They should make her controls more like FPS. Her movements from a 3d person POV can be very jerky.

Seems like they're returning to the Legend engine, cause i see self shadow casting over Lara's model in those pics.

Indeed. It makes you wonder why they bother when they are running to catch up with 10 years ago.

I enjoyed Legend and Anniversary... Legend a little more though just because there was more shooting I played TR1 and 2 but don't really remember them much.

Me too, except Anniversary seemed harder then Legend for me. Heck yea, bring on Underworld. I think they did a good job bringing the franchise back from the mire.

Set a few years after the last game, Crystal Dynamic has made Tomb Raider Underworld more realistic (fluid movements due to motion capturing) and interactive (persistent destruction, Lara gets muddy but with the weather system, ran will wash it away), and lush (you'll be traveling, jungles, Mexico) all over the world. Currently scheduled for 2008 on PS3, X360 and PC.
Wet Lara ftw!

I can't speak for Anniversary, but Legend bitterly disappointed me for the most part.
