the texture corruption at least what i've seen is related to the textures being compressed with DXT5. Textures in vegastrike that i've been working with that had the same corruption in game were fixed when i compressed to any format other than DXT5 (dxt3, dxt1, uncompressed)

Correction: DXT5 textures created with nvcompress. DXT5 textures created in hardware via GL come out fine. Only nvcompress generated DXT5 is affected.

This still happens in 169.12 on my 7600GT. Could on of the NVIDIA guys (AaronP?) please confirm that they at least haven't forgotten about this?

It has been a few months since this was confirmed and filed.

We need a public bugtracker - just to track if issues are acknowledged / fixed. Forum is not enough anymore.

Unfortunately I have to confirm that this problem still exists with 169.12 as well as with the actual beta drivers 171.06 . Any other solutions except of downgrading?

Not only that, but the 100.x series won't build against the newer 2.6.24 kernels. Specifically Fedora 8, kernel-2.6.24.3-34.fc8. So it's going to become a choice between an updated system or old NVidia drivers.

.. and I confirm that there's still white stripes/crosshatchin in ut2004 for 171.06 and 169.12
