Thumbs down Nvidia doesnt work with Dell Optiplex 755

just bought a new Dell Optiplex 755, installed it with Centos4.3 with working kernel 2.6.9-34.ELsmp and installed an Nvidia 7300 card, tried to setup it with the driver NVIDIA-LINUX-x86-100.14.19-22.src.rpm but it kept giving me that there is a problem with the kernel module, passed this by the command option --kernel-source-path, but still when making modprobe nvidia it gives me:FATAL: Error inserting nvidia (/lib/modules/2.6.9-34.ELsmp/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko): No such device.
I have checked there is a file in that place with the same name, i also made:
modprobe -r rivafb, but all that didnt help
any suggestions?
This is our standard on all Dell types, this is the first machine of that model and gave me that error.
Attached is the bug report and the installer log file

The 1.0-8756 NVIDIA Linux graphics driver is obsolete, please use a 100.14.xx or the 169.04 BETA graphics driver release, instead. If you continue to see problems with one of these drivers, please generate and attach an updated nvidia-bug-report.log file.

NVRM: request_mem_region failed for 16M @ 0xfc000000. This can

NVRM: ownership of the device's registers.
NVRM: The NVIDIA probe routine failed for 1 device(s).
NVRM: None of the NVIDIA graphics adapters were initialized!
At first sight, this looks like an SBIOS bug:

See my post here ---> http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=100658

How much RAM do you have installed?
Mine will only work if I have 2GB or less installed.

You can see from the e820 info above that he has 2GB installed. CentOS 4 is the same as RHEL4, so I'm sure he's having the same problem I described in the other thread you linked.

I will try to install Centos 64 bit instead of normal Centos, may be it will allocate the memory better

Unlikely. All my testing was done with 64-bit RHEL4.4 - RHEL4.5.

I have tested also with Centos 64bit and with the latest NVidia driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.07 but also with the same result, I even downgraded the RAM to 1G but in vain!!!
