Default Sweet Deal for 360 owners & Bourne fans

http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/15310/...n-HD-for-Free/

"An Amazon.com exclusive HD DVD collection, "The Bourne Trilogy" is a $49 value. You'll also get "King Kong" on HD for free in the box with your new Xbox 360 HD DVD player. Plus, you'll be eligible to participate in a mail-in offer to get five more HD DVDs to boot."

Looks like a sweet deal to me, basically nullifies the cost of the HD-dvd add on.

That's awesome.

I thought the price is very good with the five discs, let alone the extras.

Man I wish I wasn't one of the first people to buy that add-on. Then again, I've been abusing the crap out of that HD DVD player since day one.

Awesome deal. I use the HD-DVD player on my PC and it's sweet.

Little off topic but Best Buy has some HD-DVD titles buy one get one this week. I got a great deal on the 360 hd-dvd drive this month as well so I too am abusing the **** out of it.

A question about the HD-Dvd addon, can you play your 360 games from it ?
as I understand it, they are more quiet then the built in dvd drive.

I don't remember being able to play my 360 games from it when I had it. Besides, I would rather wear out the DVD-drive than the HD-DVD drive.

reason im asking, is not just the noise level of the internal dvd (samsung btw, whom I have no respect for what so ever when it comes to cd/dvd readers/burners) but also as I get read errors a lot.

Then I'd return the 360 for repair.

I went through 4 Xbox360s before finally just getting rid of it.

Ive only had the console for a few months, so the guarantee is of course still active, but i really do not want to have to mess with microsoft support to get it fixed, however here in sweden. Place of purchase is obligated by law take care of any defected hardware (unless your responsible for it) two years from date of purchase. But i dont wanna return the console with the harddrive and all my saves and stuff...

I think im going to go down there and talk to them and see what can be done, it's really driving me nuts.

The Xbox 360 HD-DVD player can only be used to play back movies (HD-DVD and DVD). It can NOT be used to read game discs.

I have one of the new Falcon Elites with what appears to be the BenQ DVD drive and it's loads quieter than my previous 360s.

Fingers crossed they are finally putting a stable console on the shelves. (Fingers crossed x2!)
