I have a 70 horde pally and rogue. All I do is play BGs really. I've got a warlock at nearly level 61 that I'm working on and I might use it for arena even though I hate the fishbowl aspect of those duelfests. I've got a retired 60 shaman as well.

I did have a paladin on alliance side that I used for PVE raiding. I was "fortunate" enough to be in one of the top guilds on an original server, and I got very well geared pretty quickly. I just got tired of getting healing gear to help people kill stuff faster so I could get better healing gear. Back in the days before BC the PVE gear was the PVP gear therefore I was the healing bitch in PVP as well as PVE, so I got bitter and sick of it.

I ditched that pally and gquit the guild with a letter sent via ingame mail to one of the officers. I've been on horde playing with a few friends ever since. I'm NEVER raiding again, or joining some power guild ever again. I don't want to be attuned to anything and my blood elf pally is even ret, because I'm not healing anymore lol.

Yeah I might hit you up on that. Right now I have only a narrow understanding of how different build configurations work in wow. In fact I barely even know what is meant by "feral" druid. Only been playing for about 5 days now.

in group situations "ferals" are good because of their versatility. Put out decent dps when speced for it, and have heals for when they are needed.

-By no gear I mean everybody is in greens.

-For solo PvP the only things that might be better: warlock, paladin for annoyance factor.

Don't get me wrong on how I am pointing out the shortcomings of druids, because I have 3 that are 14 and over .

Feral is a druid who has most of their talents spent in the feral tree and focuses on optimizing their animal forms.

Yeah I've been reading up on it, and found a nice talent point calculator. How would you say this looks?

I put those five talent points in restoration for the added defense bonus which I think would definitely help, and sacrificed five points from the healing and hiding aspects of feral combat for better nuking capability.

try that one. Balance points are rather worthless to a feral due to the fact that the gear that makes good feral gear has no caster stats on it at all.

They changed the trees around to where a feral/resto or a balance/resto combination work real well. They killed any feral/balance combos.

Why no improved mark of the wild? And why no feral aggression?

both worthless for a feral. Feral agression is not really worth the points for the other things you could get.

Mark of the wild doesn't stack with the bear form defense buff or smth?

it stacks, but the 5 points you have to spend for it are not worth it for the other things you can get for feral spec.

Why spend 3 points on feral instinct though? That seems completely worthless for PvP.

Feral Instinct is crucial for cat form PvP but worthless for Bear form PvP.
It is the Druid equal of the Rogue talent, Master of Deception.

How useful is tracking in wow? I noticed that only hunters and druids can track other players.

In the pvp only MMO shadowbane, tracking is critical. Whether you are out random player killing, power leveling, or sieging a city, you need at least one player in your group with tracking capability. It means the difference between finding prey and being preyed upon.

I see. I didn't notice that other ability in balance that increases your attack power. Definitely better universally than an attack debuff that won't do anything to casters.

With all things considered, I think I am going to go with this:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxuGssroeuioVxhz

Between both of yours, the compromise seems to be the reduced mana cost of shapeshifting, vs the increased mana gain while casting. However I would think the prior would be more effective against casters, because you could effectively do more snare breaking without burning up all of your mana (namely by shifting.)

I also think it would be better to have two points in shredding attacks since that effectively increases your damage capability. The increased stun duration probably isn't worth it, since the most important aspect of a stun would be to e.g. break spells, and that extra second probably wouldn't help you much for e.g. healing.

One thing I think such a build could easily excel at, is e.g. two of these druids against any two casters of any kind. They both could tear one apart before he can get anything off at all, and then once he is dead the last one is just plain f*cked. Course I don't know wow all that well yet so there could be something I am missing.
