AST Advantage All-in-one

Cyrix 486DX2-66 w/ 8 MB RAM w/onboard video

Eventually upgraded to a 586 DX4-133, 32MB RAM, and added an S3 ViRge. LOL @ that rig. This pc came with AOL 1.0 (had to upgrade to 1.1 via dial up ) and Win3.1 (w/free upgrade to Win95 when it came out in October). Ah, old school...

From there it was downward slope of P75's, Celly 300a's, Diamond Monster 3d 4MB Voodoo add-ons, and my first SLI (back when it was Scan Line Interleaving): dual Guillemot 3D Voodoo2 12MB cards.

Back then, Yahoo was a big ass URL hosted on Stanford's servers.

I remember when we got our MASSIVE 2.5Gb Quantum Bigfoot 5.25" hard drive back in 1997. We were waiting and waiting for that drive so we could install Bladerunner.

Good times.

Though Windows 95 was pure evil...

First PC used for serious gaming:

80386DX+80387 Intel MB with 32KB of onboard cache
4 MB of FastPage RAM, 60nS
Tseng Lab ET3000AX 512KB video card
Sound Blaster 2.0 (8bit) 44KHz mono output, 22KHz stereo
2x Fujitsu 80MB hard drives, one on a removable cradle
1x 5 1/4 floppy, 1x 3 1/2 floppy

It was a powerful (and expensive) beast in 1990 !!! My father bought it for me from a friend who used to run a PC shop This one was ordered by a guy who was going to use it for CAD but then he decided to turn it down and purchased a 486 instead.

When I ran Wing Commander for the first time, this game made me forget entirely about my old MSX, Amiga and all the rest of the stuff !

Not sure if I got this right:

My first DOS system I think or Windows 3.1:

Intel 486 DX 33MHz
prolly 8MB of RAM (or something like that)
ATI 3D something PCI videocard (or maybe it was ISA, i dont remember at all)

I think my first Win95 system was:

Cyrix PR166+ 133MHz
ATI 3D Rage II Pro 4MB (or something like that)
+ later in late '96 came a Voodoo 1 4MB "add-on"
16MB or 32MB of RAM, i cant really remember, whatever the norm was back then
15" Samsung CRT (very good monitor for the time!)
+some audio card I can't recall
