Default DO i need to uninstall previous driver ??

I had installed the nvidia graphics driver for my
Laptop model : Compaq Presario V3000
Processor : Mobile AMD Sempron (tm)
OS : Dual boot with Opensuse 10.3 as master and Win xp as slave
Graphics card : Nvidia Geforce Go 6150
Architecture : i386 or x86 or IA32

I downloaded the driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.19-pkg1.run and did as instructed on the website http://en.opensuse.org/NVIDIA "the hard way"...a month bac........
Even though everything went as per the instructions.I got the full nvidia screen while booting n everything else also matched.... BUT........

>>BUT inspite of that, saX2 said
“ Sax2 cannot offer activation of the 3D subsystem because your graphics card/driver doesnt
support 3D”
Also I am not able to activate 3D acceleration from lower left corner of sax2..

>>Also in Desktop effects it says
Video card: nvidia corporation geforce go 6150
your graphics card is not supported in XgI's database
3d acceleration : disabled
Desktop effects : enabled
