Default nVidia on a new install of Fedora 7 on AMD dual 64

I just installed Fedora 7 on a AMD 64 dual.
I have an nVidial NV43 Getforce 6600 GT
As I run 3D modeling software I want to activate the openGL library for rendering and speeding up the rendering.
I did read in this forum and also the Xorg and related threads. I am not sure as how to handle the activation properly. As this is a working, clean install I don't want to mess it up...
I am looking for your advises how to properly do the activation of the GL functions..
