Rise of Nations, Freelancer, Crimson Skies (all Microsoft games....interesting) and some others. Soldier of Fortune 2 still has a large online community as does Medal of Honor Allied Assault.

Snag a $10 USB mouse and get fragging.

Deus Ex (*listens while a handful of people reinstall at the mere mention of the name*)
Syberia 1 & 2 (I'm not really a fan of adventure games, but I loved these two)
Quake 3
Unreal Tournament
Sim City 4 (CPU and memory bound game, methinks)
Command & Conquer series (anything before C&C3 should run fine)
Civilization 4
Worms Armageddon
Splinter Cell 1 (Maybe)
Hitman: Codename 47
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield
No One Lives Forever (The first one, and possibly the second)
SOLDAT
Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
Grand Theft Auto
Grand Theft Auto 2
Starsiege: Tribes
Halo Zero
Hidden & Dangerous Deluxe (Alternate Download Location)
Marathon Trilogy
Dink Smallwood
Zelda Classic
The Elder Scrolls: Arena
Wild Metal Country
S.W.I.N.E. (Alternate Download Location)
Ground Control
FreeCiv
Armagetron Advanced
Frets on Fire
Hurrican
TAGAP (The Apocalyptic Game About Penguins)

Sorry, I included some games that would require a mouse (and a lot that don't)... but getting a cheap USB mouse wouldn't hurt, you know.

This actually tends to be the problem. If your laptop sucks, it is most likely not your main computer, and therefore your actually using it on your lap, in bed or at work and such. Eitherway, most cases I never have any room for a mouse, so your stuck with the touch pad, and many games hate the pad. So its limited to click and drag games, although racers arnt to bad. NFS Underground2 works great with the keyboard on my laptop.

MDK2? I'm considering installing that on my machine pretty soon myself.
Also, what about Alone 4? I don't know if that will work on vista or not.
Tomb Raider 1 with some good mods?

I'm a big emulator fan but you know something... I've playd the good rpgs for snes allready, and everything else just dosnt have any more appeal. Arcade wise.. ive playd my fav games to death and frankly, arcade games are not made to take up hours and hours of playtime when playd solo (games playd with 2 players is sort of not happening on a laptop).
