Default Help with glitch in steam...

Okay, I just want to change my password. But when I go to try, this is what appears. How can I resolve this?

I'm in a lazy state right now, but I guess I'll have to do this.

With the HDD's you have, file transfer should be a breeze compared to me. Have you tried deleting the clientregistry.blob file? Doing that usually ends up updating Steam.

I don't want to get you drunk, but, ah, that's a very fine Chardonnay you're not drinking.

So I guess that means throwing your monitor out a window is out of the question...

Not really a fix, but it might make you feel a bit better.

You don't even have to do anything. Just move the steamapps folder out of the steam folder, but keep it on the same drive. It shouldn't even give you a file move\copy progress bar. Move it out. Reinstall. Move it back. It should take like 1 minute.

That's exactly what I did. 19Gb worth of data, less than 5 seconds of transfer time... total.

That's because it's transferring anything technically... More like just changing the address.
