Default That one game music/song that sticks with you

OK, figured I'd make a topic on a song/music from a game (for any platform) that is memorable enough for you to remember above all others.

For me, it's Julia's Piano Solo from Final Fantasy VIII - the game wasn't that great, but this music alone made the game pretty awesome to me. A strictly solo piano melody that is slightly only a minute long definitely showed Nobuo Umatsuo's musical talents. It's catchy, and I actually taught myself to play the piano for that song when the game first came out. I've since learned more complicated music, but that music has always stayed endearing to me. Heck I still play it now and again and it never fails to impress people who have never heard it before, and they are always surprised that it came from a game.

ohh..hmm..being a big video and pc game nut (back in the hay day, pc games generally had the best sounding midi files for pc wavetable sound cards, cause most other obtainable midi files were done by...less then skilled fans. ), to pick a single most memorable sound track, God. Well I am a big big fan of Kajiura Yuki's music, especially her xenosaga 2 and 3 contributions, but I think my #1 would have to be One winged angel, from the FF7 sound track. It sounded awesome in its less then steller quality original PCM form on the psx, to its most rocking form on the advent children sound track (it actually had an arranged version before AC but it wasn't so hot IMO).

Well I'm a guitar player, so I loved Quake 2's soundtrack. I actually taught myself Quad Machine, that was a bad ass lil riff.

Liked some the the MOH symphony, orchestra stuff.

There are tons of really incredible game music out there, so it was difficult to choose one for me. But yeah, I loved the MOH music, Baldur's Gate Series, Neverwinter Nights, etc. etc. etc.

I can sit through and play through a mediocre, and sometimes even bad game, if the music is superb. Yes I'm weird.

Yeah, One Winged Angel is pretty good. I have the Dear Friends concert CD and the arranged version in that one is pretty good. I think it's pretty much straight off the AC soundtrack.
