I just checked http://vgchartz.com/ and the Wii's nearly at 20 million. I remember it being around 14 million before December. Nintendo really cleaned up this Christmas!

On another note, my aunt (who has never played a video game in her life) bought her 9 year old son a Wii, and she loves this thing. I expected the Wii to do good, but I really think it's gonna exceed everyone's expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if it hit around 50 million after a few more years.

I heard about Amazon selling that many Wiis on the news this morning. That's insane! So far, I'm really enjoying my new Wii.

wtf 360 is only at 15mil? wasnt it at 10 like a YEAR ago.

Wouldn't rely on vgchartz... they kind of make crap up.

Well, it's been selling, what, 2-300,000 a month on average? Over 12 months that's only 3.6 million, and of course you have to factor in the extra sales for Halo the month that came out and the extra sales right now, so it sounds reasonable to me.

Wii is kind of like Harley Davidson, they both seem to be able to make whatever and it will sell like crazy.

QFT! Also get a good line-up of games out. I'd really like to pick one up but there really isn't anything out there that really trips my trigger. I mean there are definitely a few good games but for being out this long, they really need some 3rd party support. I'd really love to get my hands on Super Mario Galaxy though.

They already have, it's just hard to tell because people are still buying them as fast as they become available. I think they're shipping 1.8 million worldwide every month.
