A few more. I'm just testing out ways to get detailed shots in situations where it's difficult to get up close in game mode or in the editor. Those shots are heavily cropped from Sandbox2 renders at 10240x5760. That's not a typo. The tga files are over 100MBs.

I like the film grain filter for two reasons, It hides aliasing and it looks more cinematic to me. Some people hate it with a passion.

Edit:

I forgot one.

I think it looks awesome, I want to watch a movie based on it... reminds me of Battlestar Galatica a little.. I like that gritty environment... I have a sci-fi movie script if you can create a movie...

I can get around the Sandbox2 editor alright and I've got some experience in 3D modeling and animation but I don't have the drive or the time to do anything as lofty as a movie with Sandbox. Thanks though.

Nice screens, silly. What res do you play at? Do you have your NV CP settings on Override or Enhance for the AA Mode? I don't see any jaggies, of course, you've downsided the shots, but still. They are very clear. Did you use FRAPS or the in-game F12?

Here's one I took, via F12 in-game, playing MP (Hardcore, of course)...

Thanks Slippe. That's actually just in-game 4x @ 1600x1200, and I used FRAPS for the shots, so they are downsized from 5MB bitmaps and I use as little comression as I can, aiming for 250-300k file size. I just installed the 174 whql drivers before playing this again, and I haven't even looked in the CP yet so thats probably still at application controlled, but I do still see aliasing depending on the scene. On the ship level for example when I was outside and the ship was rcoking back and forth it was really bad. Maybe its the spec map on the shipping containers or something, but this level was looking really good.
