Hail! I wanted to ask how much my CPU is bottlenecking my system when playing crysis.
I have windows vista 32bit 2gb of ram Geforce 8800gtx and finally an Amd Athlon X2 4600+ 2x512mb Cache running at 2.6ghz... How much more fps/smoother gameplay will i get by purchasing an Intel E6850 or a Q6600 infront of my old cpu? Cheers! |

I had a single core Athlon @ 2.8Ghz before moving to my current CPU, and I did not notice any difference using high settings @ 1600x1200 with my 8800.

Why don't you run the CPU benchmark and then we can compare? Make sure to post your settings otherwise it will be hard to compare the results.

Crysis is very GPU dependent. I don't believe your CPU is bottle-necking Crysis at all.
