Smile BF2 revisited

Having played STALKER to death, gotten bored of the repetitiveness of Bioshock and fancied taking a break from chainsawing The Locust in GoW, I fired up this classic game which has been laying dormant on my HDD for about 2 years.

But for the spawn times (and the base raping), it's a fine example of a MP FPS in my book.

BF2 is one of the best MP FPS i've ever played & i doubt its going to be replaced by any other game soon. (yes even when Frontlines comes out)

I still play it from time to time as well. A rare example of EA supporting its games years after release.

Side note...you haven't formatted in over two years?

I loved that game for the longest time, but lately, TF2, Call of Duty 4, and Need for Speed: Carbon get all my time for multiplayer.

I believe I've now spent more hours playing this game than any other MP game. Apart from the occasionally frustrating round, or bug/exploit, it is endlessly entertaining. A mightly good effort by DICE or whoever made it. Shoddy support and expansions by EA though.

No Sir. It's without a doubt the longest single period I've had Windows installed for .

I have not installed or played the game in over a year.... dont plan to either. Loved it at the time... but I over played it... got really good... then got bored as hell with it Anymore I just jump from game to game and only stick with a few that I think are worth playing more than once or for a few weeks.

Exact same situation here. I played it solid for a good year and a half, but I over played it. I haven't played in over a year and have no plans to.

Same here. I love BF2 and BF2142 but they've just been gathering dust because I overplayed them.

But now there's an emptiness in my gaming life.

I hoped Quake Wars would fill it but it's nothing like the BF series.

I'm thinking of reinstalling BF2. I miss the Blackhawk and all the squad communication.

BF2 is nowhere near as good as Desert Combat for BF1942.
