I'm not sure. The Dual SHock controller is a little more solid feeling, but the PS3 controllers are just as well made as the console, they do however feel cheap because they are so light. Bonus is they use built in long life Li-ion batteries. So no having to buy battery packs.

It does but there are a few games that it can't emulate properly. There's a site that lists which games work.

I'm also looking to purchase a PS3 primarily for the Blu-ray drive. Just got a new HDTV and surround sound setup last week. I'm not really much of a console gamer so the lack of games argument doesn't bother me.

I'm looking to just get one console, because multiple systems will just take up too much time and money. So, i've been leaning towards the PS3 primarily because of blu-ray.

But if I remember correctly, PS3 had **** for games. And just taking a quick glance at current titles, Uncharted seems to be the only thing worth while. So, my question is will there be any exclusive upcoming PS3 games that will be worthwhile? Any games PS3 fans are looking forward to? Will there be God Of War 3 for PS3?
Wait till the end of 2008 for a PS3 or maybe even the next year. Right now, I still don't think it's worth the investment, unless BluRay is a sell point for you. Also, if you haven't tried it yet, give the Wii a shot.

From your post I have the impression that you grew bored of what the Xbox 360 was offering. On the PS3 the lanscape is similar and the games out now are somewhat less appealing than those on the Xbox. That's why I suggest to try the Wii. Maybe it won't suit your tastes but maybe you'll discover that it just complements your PC-oriented gaming expereince in a way you hadn't considered before.

Not 2 controllers only, only 2 USB ports, but as far as I know all PS3 models support 7 wireless controllers.

If you don't want any PS3 games, don't get a PS3 for the BD player. Pickup a Sharp BD-HP20 for around $349. It is a better BD player than the PS3. Of the current BD standalones, ie Pioneer 95, Panny BD30, Samsung 1400, Sharp HP20 etc.... the PS3 is the softest PQ wise. It had en edge in the beginning against the first standalones but is now in last place.
